Certifications & Quality Management Systems (QMS)

An integral part of most quality certifications is the need for an effective Quality Management System. Inherent to a QMS is a Management Review Process, which monitors and analyzes data on a continual basis.

AS9100D (ISO9001:2015) Certified: Aerospace Machining and Beyond

Bradhart Products holds this certification, which is highly important for precision machining services, especially those related to aerospace machining.

In addition to this, we also have the following capabilities: Statistical Process Control (SPC), Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP), Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
And we are able to meet the strict requirements related to: International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR Registered), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations System (DFARS)

Our History

Founded in 1962, Bradhart Products started as a small material distributor located in Redford, Michigan servicing the Detroit area with specialty red metals. Value added services such as sawing and inventory management were added in the mid 70’s. The first CNC lathe was delivered to Bradhart in 1980. In 1987 Bradhart relocated to 15,000 square foot facility located in Howell, MI and began adding additional turning and milling capabilities, along with various finishing equipment to service its growing customer base.

Under current ownership since 1993, Bradhart Products has always been involved in the metals business and has grown in sophistication as we have matured. 1994 was a pivotal year as we received our ISO Certification and became one of Michigan’s first machine shops to reach this milestone.

In 1998 we moved to our current 30,000 square foot facility located in Brighton – 20 minutes north of Ann Arbor, Michigan. This marked the beginning of our transition to becoming a full-service manufacturer of highly complex parts in niche non-automotive markets. With the addition of leading technology equipment in our Quality Department, we began to expand into the aerospace industry and achieved our AS9100C certification in 2010.

Our state-of-the-art engineering lab was completed in 2015. Staffed with a talented technical team, we have continued to grow in capability giving us the ability to assist our customers in today’s challenging environment.

Customer service is our focus and we strive to get better every day. We have spent the last 25+ years diligently learning how to integrate today’s Information Technology to take our customer service to the highest level.

Uncompromised Quality Does Not Just Happen!

Precision CNC machining companies need to have systems in place that give you the kind of uncompromised quality you need. Quality Management Systems (QMS) and specific Certifications support these efforts. Research shows that a company with an effective QMS in place meets customer requirements and expectations more often than ones that do not. With a 99.9% Defect-Free quality record, our Quality Management System, along with our AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 Certifications show that we provide this type of quality. (See our Quality Performance Chart). With over 2,000,000 component parts shipped annually, in addition to over 1,000 different part configurations produced in the last 3 years, we demonstrate the ability to maintain consistency over long periods of time. These are all precision machined components utilizing today’s modern technology.
